6. Loosen the screws on the cable strain
relief for the AC PDU.
7. Remove the power cable from the
bottom of the PDU.
8. Use an ohmmeter to check the
continuity of all three wires in the
power cable.
Is there continuity?
Yes: Go to step 9 .
No: Replace the cable.
9. Plug the power cord back into the
customer’s outlet.
Leave the library end of the cord
unplugged.

10. Switch your volt/ohmmeter to AC volts
and measure the line voltage at the
cable.
• Nominal voltage for North America
is 100 to120 VAC.
• Nominal voltage for international
is 200 to 240 VAC.
Is the line voltage correct?
Yes: Go to step 11 .
No: Notify the customer about this potential
problem.
11. Place the cable into the bottom of the
AC PDU.
Lift the breaker.
Does the breaker still trip?
Yes: Replace the AC PDU.
