Humidification tips and tricks
Q
How it works: The humidification discs rotate in a water bath,
and the water they pick up evaporates on them. At the same
time dirt particles from the air are washed off into the tank.
Q
The self-regulating principle between room air and humidifier
prevents excessive air humidity by keeping the relative humidity
between about 45 % and 60 %. The drier the room air, the more
the humidification.
Q
The following relative air humidities are recommended in living
rooms according to temperature:
Room temperature: 18 °C Relative air humidity:
50 %
20 °C
45 %
22 °C
40 %
Q
The relative air humidity in large rooms can be increased by
placing the humidifier near a radiator (max. temperature of 50 °C
not to be exceeded!).

Strong air currents hinder humidification, for example with open
windows or in high rooms.
Q
Please note that moisture vapour rises in warm air and may con-
dense in undesirable places.
Cleaning, care and maintenance
To maintain good hygiene, the appliance should be cleaned regu-
larly. Dirt from the air as well as lime and mineral residues from the
water collect in the tank / bottom tray and have to be removed.
Always empty and clean your humidifier if it will not be needed for a
few days or longer.
