2 How to use the board
The STEVAL-L3751V12 is configured through the L3751 with adjustable V
OUT
. The board is set to deliver a 5 V or
12 V output voltage (see Section 3.4 Signal manager - J5 ) with F
SW
= 230 kHz.
To use the board, follow the procedure below.
Step 1. Connect the voltage supply between V
IN
and GND connectors.
Step 2. Connect the load (power resistor or active load) between V
OUT
and GND connectors.
Note: We suggest using short wires for the connections of steps 1 and 2.
Step 3. Set the supply voltage V
IN
from 6 to 75 V with V
OUT
= 5 V or V
IN
from 13 to 75 V with V
OUT
= 12 V.
Step 4. To reach IoutMax, increase the active load or decrease the power resistor.
An external air flow is suggested to decrease the board thermal heating.
