Quick Start Guide
Read the supplied instruction manual before installing the chest freezer. It contains
comprehensive installation and usage instructions and important safety advice.
This Quick Start Guide only covers basic points.
Installation
• Place the freezer on a sturdy, level floor that is strong enough to support the unit
when it is fully loaded. Avoid locations that are close to direct sunlight, sources of
heat, extreme cold ambient temperatures and areas of high humidity. Make sure
the freezer is positioned level and there is a space of at least 12cm at the back and
5cm at the sides for air circulation.
• Before plugging in the freezer, let it stand upright for at least 4 hours to allow the
refrigerant gases to settle. After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the
unit to cool down for 2 to 3 hours before placing food inside.
Temperature control
• The temperature control is located at the front of
the freezer in the bottom right corner. It has seven
settings, from 1 (cold, the warmest setting) to 7
(the coldest setting), plus a MAX position for fast
freezing large amounts of fresh food.
• The first time you turn the unit on, set the
temperature control to the MAX position. Then,
after 24 hours, adjust the temperature control to
the setting that suits your needs, position 5 should
be appropriate for normal use.
• To turn the freezer off, turn the temperature control
to the minimum position, then unplug the unit from
the power supply.
