Line up the gauge rod (1) with the

tip of a blade tooth (2).

Rotate the cutting attachment, if the

gauge rod knocks against the tip of

the blade, readjust the gauge rod.

Continue rotating the cutting

attachment and find the tooth that is

the only one to touch the gauge rod.

Use a feeler gauge to measure the

distance between the other teeth

and the gauge rod.

Depending on the type of cutting

attachment, different maximum limits

apply for axial out-of-balance:

WARNING

For safety reasons a metal cutting tool

must not be straightened. The cutting

attachment must not be used if the

maximum out-of-balance limit is

exceeded since there is otherwise a risk

of accidents.

Testing radial out-of-balance

Radial out-of-balance is tested with a

magnetic test weight.

Use a sharp knife to cut the test

weights along the stamped lines.

The test weight is attached to one blade

tooth at a given distance "R" – see the

following table.
