Parts of the appliance can get very hot and may cause
burns. Particular caution is advised when children or
vulnerable persons are present.

back of the appliance.
3. Appliance description
The appliance only warms the air slightly. It is only when it hits
objects or the human body that the IR radiation is converted into
heat. You will feel the heat after just a few seconds.
The appliance is made completely from stainless steel. The appli-
ance can be exposed to normal environmental influences.

4.1 Switching the appliance on

If not already in place, connect the power cable to the cable
with mains plug.

Start the appliance by pushing the power plug into its socket.
4.2 Switching the appliance off

Switch off the appliance by pulling the power plug from its
socket.
5. Cleaning, care and maintenance

Material losses
Never spray the appliance with water. Never immerse the
appliance in water.
Never touch the quartz rods with fingers, otherwise spots
could form or the quartz rods could be damaged.

Isolate the appliance from the power supply and let it cool
down.

A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the casing. Never use
abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. Go over with a soft
cloth.

Regularly clean the reflector through the grille using a paint
brush.
Let a contractor clean the reflector if it is heavily so-
iled to retain the full level of heat radiation of this appliance.
The heating tube (gold tube) has a maximum service life of approx.
5000 hours. It is subject to the operating conditions, such as the
relative humidity, switching frequency and the orientation of the
radiant heater.
6. What to do if...
... you notice a smell
- For a short time after first taking the appliance into use as
well as after longer breaks in use, a smell may develop.
... the appliance does not radiate heat
- Check whether the fuses/MCBs have blown/tripped or are
faulty.
If you cannot remedy the fault, notify your heating contractor. To
facilitate and speed up your request, provide the number from the
type plate (000000-0000-000000).
