Installation

4.1

Unpacking and setup

Proceed as described below when unpacking and setting up each column.

Warning

w

Only use proper lifting equipment to move the column lift. Lift the column only at the 
points intended for this. Failure to relocate the column lift in the right manner can 
cause damage to the column lift and/or personal injury.

1.

Transport the column lift to the location where it will be used.

2.

Remove the lid of the crate, or the straps on the transport pallet.

3.

Attach a hoisting belt rated at a minimum of 1100 lbs around the column lift, and raise 
it out for the crate (see 

Figure 4.1

). 

Warning

w

Do not enter the area below the column lift while it is suspended from the lifting 
equipment. If it should fall, it could cause serious injury.

4.

Lower the column lift carefully to the floor.

5.

Attach a hoisting belt to the top of the column.

6.

Raise the column by the top until it is upright.

7.

Remove the hoisting belt.

8.

Remove the protective cover from the hydraulic unit.
