7.20.4 Leg Section

Remove Tabletop Leg Section as follows:

1. Remove and save eight slotted pan head screws

fastening tabletop to frame (see Figure 7-36).

2. Remove and set aside in safe area to avoid damage.

3. Reassemble in reverse order.

7.21 LIFT CYLINDER REPLACEMENT

Replace lift hydraulic cylinder as follows:

1. Position tabletop to level, slide to maximum foot

end.

2. Raise back section to full up (or maximum) position.

3. Lower tabletop to full down position.

4. Turn Main Power Switch to OFF and remove

battery fuse (refer to supplied Operator Manual for
more information).

5. Carefully tilt entire table to gain access to mounting

lift cylinder mounting bolt located on bottom of
table. Block table in tilted position.

6. Remove bottom mounting bolt (middle location)

and return table base to floor.

7. Remove head-side seat plastic cover as follows:

Remove tabletop seat section per

Remove four top and four side screws from
head-side seat cover (see Figure 7-37).

Slide plastic cover to remove from table.

8. Remove cylinder mounting plate by removing top

cylinder bolt and four side screws (see Figure 7-38).

9. Disconnect hydraulic lines and carefully remove lift

cylinder from table base. Ensure not to pinch or kink
hoses.

10. Reassemble in reverse order.

NOTE: When reassembling the hydraulic lift cylinder,
note the following:

1) Replace hydraulic screws and sealing washers.
2) Torque new screws to 12 N•m (106 lbf•in).

3) Place cylinder rod end in bottom slot.

4) Tighten bolt from beneath table before returning

cylinder mounting plate.

5) Hand tighten all bolts first.
6) Follow Cmax Surgical Table Hydraulics figure in

the IPB Section of this manual to ensure proper
reconnection.

7) Ensure all screws are secured with Loctite 242.
8) After reassembly, ensure all table functions operate

properly. Check for hydraulic oil leakage.

9) Level tabletop.
