This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of
purchase.
CONDITIONS
1. This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product box or package, and product, must be presented when warranty service
is required.
2. If the product is in the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3. The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4. Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accessories to customer, as well as warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries, failure to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized
personnel, improper safe keeping, among others.

1. Download the software from the Steren website:
www.sterne.com
2. Execute the app and follow the next steps.
3. Open the program
RAD-530 or RAD-510
. Under
“Model”
menu, select the
“Select Model”
and the
“400-470 (U)”
band.
The software for this product can be updated without notice. Go to
www.steren.com to check the latest version of this manual.
4. Connect the cable to the radio you want to program and to a USB port in your
PC.
5. Turn on the radio. Press the "R" button in the top bar of the software.
Modify the parameters you need.
6. Press the “W” button on the top bar of the program to save the data on the radio.
Once modified and saved the data, turn off the radio and exit the program.
PARAMETERS
• Channel or NO:
The modified channel.
• RX Frequency:
Receive frequency.
• TX Frequency:
Transmit Frequency.
• QT/DQT Dec:
QT/DQT decoder.
• DQ/DQT Enc:
QT/DQT encoder. The radio can only communicate with radios that
have the same QT/DQT configuration.
• BCL:
If activated, the radio will not transmit if the channel is occupied, the signal
is sent only when no other radio in use on the same channel.
• Beat shift:
Eliminates interference from the radio´s CPU.
• Scan Add:
Select whether the channel will appear in the search function or not.
• TX power (RAD-530 only):
Transmission frequency power.
• Bandwidth:
Select to set the bandwidth (Wide or Narrow).
To see the options “BCL” and “Beat Shift” in the RAD-510 program, you need
to double click on the “Channel” column.
