7.1 Settings
The software can be used to monitor the UPS locally or remotely. Click
“select UPS” to choose the procedure. Select a UPS from the list or enter the
address and password from a device on the local network. Click Refresh if
you have connected another UPS and these does not appear and Connect
to choose a device from the list.
After selecting the UPS, other parameters can be configured. If the parameter
values are poorly adjusted, the program may have operational problems.
Select the appropriate tab.
General settings: defines the location of the UPS COM port, communication
protocol and provides a password for remote monitoring.
To establish communication with UPS, select Mega (USB) in communication. With
this you won’t have to choose the communication port as it is the USB.
Shutdown: Setting the functions that you want to run when the software
detects a CA failure or low battery. It also defines the time that the system will
shut down after detecting a CA failure or low battery.
Warning message: activate / deactivate the warning message when a CA or
low battery failure is detected.
Email: Here you can enter data for a mail server to receive alerts in case of
a failure of the service.
SMS: In case you need alerts via SMS, please contact your cell phone
provider.
ACPI: Here you can check and modify the name and the UPS data.
