NOTES:
The boom should be close to level with the turnbuckles
half way unscrewed. This will allow you to make minor
changes up or down to level the boom if needed.
It is important to make sure your elements are still level
and that the boom is level. At this time you will need to
level the mast pole. This can be done by rotating the
mast pole around the boom. This will also control the
straightness of the boom. The objective is to have the
truss supports directly over the center of the boom. This
will give you the straightest boom possible.
If the boom looks like it isnt straight looking down from
one end to the other, adjsut the vertical angle of the
boom truss support mast until the boom is straight.
With the truss attachement plates already secured to the boom you just need to secure the
turnbuckle side of the truss to the mast pole.
Assemble the truss to the mast pole as per
Figure 14
This process is much easier with two people one to lift the end of the boom while the other
person attaches the turnbuckle to the mast pole.

You can use some of the trimmed
phillystran to tie lock the turnbuck-
les in place. Weave the phillystan
though the housing of the turn-
buckle and through the eyes of the
eye bolts. Tape ends and secure
truss to boom truss support mast.
