Installation and Mounting
Horizon heater is fitted with a supply cable, therefore opening of the wire connector is not required in order to carry out normal installation of
this product. The heater intentionally does not come with the moulded plug, but the special heat proof cable, therefore connection and wiring
should be done by qualified professionals only.
• Please observe the minimum safe distance between the heater body and any inflammable surfaces.
• If the supply cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid
a hazard. When electrical connection is outside, it is recommended that a waterproof socket or a junction box is used for the connection.
If in any doubt, please contact a suitably qualified electrician. The Horizon heater lamp has universal burning position. It can be wall mounted
horizontally in an angled manner. Wall mounting bracket is included in the box. Horizon heater can also be hung from a ceiling with a suitable
ceiling mounting bracket or chains. (ceiling brackets and chains not included in the box.) When mounting on a wall or a similar surface
horizontally, do not position heater at an angle less than 45° and more than 90°.
IMPORTANT
Before drilling the holes in the wall or other surfaces, ensure that there are no wires or pipes in the area of the holes. Contact
qualified person with the equipment and knowledge to identify non observable wires or pipes placed under the surface.
1. The heater body and lamp should be cool and the power supply disconnected. Heater Power cable should be in your area of visibility,
while being disconnected to exclude the chance that someone one your premises might reconnect or switch on power supply while you
are performing lamp replacement or other maintenance procedures.
2. Remove the screws from left and right side reflectors, and lift off the reflectors one by one, see - Fig. A.
3. Once side reflectors have been removed - see Fig. B Locate the waterproof cable connector, see - Fig C . Identify the side where lamp
cables are entering the connector. First turn and loosen the outer cap, then turn and loosen the inner cap, see - Fig. D
4. Once you have located a junction inside the waterproof connector, unscrew the lamp cables. 2 white cables, see - Fig. E
5. Remove lamp cables from connector gland so they are loose and locate the lamp cable on the opposite side, see - Fig. F
6. Pull out the cable of the lamp by slightly bending the central reflector, see - Fig. G
7. Once both cables of the lamp are loose, gently remove the lamp by holding the ceramic caps on both ends simultaneously, pull out the
lamp from the lamp holder, see - Fig. H
8. The emitter should now be fully removed along with its cables, see - Fig. I
9. Refit the new infrared lamp in reverse order and ensure that all screws, glands are fully tightened and no wires are trapped or left
disconnected.

Maintenance
• Disconnect from the mains supply before attempting any maintenance procedure or cleaning.
• To maintain maximum heat effectiveness, the reflector can be wiped with a soft cloth before reassembling in case if it shows considerable
signs of dust and dirt.
Replacement Infrared Lamp
The replacement lamp should be exactly the same as the one it was supplied with. Failure to fit the exact same type could cause the heater
to fail or even become dangerous especially when used in an outdoor environment. Please contact Stellar Technologies for purchasing a
replacement lamp and provide model number.
New infrared lamp should not be touched with bare hands. Finger marks will burn into the quartz glass causing premature failure. Remove
finger marks with a soft cloth dampened in alcohol.
Lamp Replacement Procedure
Power supply should be disconnected before an attempt to replace the lamp.
Lamp replacement should be conducted by a qualified personnel. This procedure should be conducted with compliance of electrical
regulations
When mounting Horizon heater in an angled manner do not position the heater at an angle more than 45° and less than 30° to the
horizontal line. Make sure the beam or structure can withstand the heater weight in different climatic conditions, like wind. When wall
mounting secure the U shaped wall bracket first on the wall, with both holes in the bracket. Wall fixings, (screws, bolts etc.) are not
supplied with the heater and it should be selected according to the material the mounting is performed on therefore mounting should be
conducted by a qualified person.
