HIGH SPEED DUBBING
THIS UNIT HAS A HIGH SPEED DUBBING FUNCTION WHICH CAN SAVE DUBBING TIME BY TWO-THIRDS WHEN
COMPARED TO NORMAL SPEED.

PRESS THE “ HI-SPEED DUBBING “ BUTTON (23) TO THE “HI
” POSITION AND THEN FOLLOW THE SAME
PROCEDURES AS DESCRIBED IN THE “DUBBING AT NORMAL SPEED” SECTION.
z
TO AVOID HAVING TO LISTEN TO THE NOISE PRODUCED BY HI-SPEED DUBBING, SET THE VOLUME CONTROL
TO A MINIMUM LEVEL.
z
DO NOT ACTIVATE/DE-ACTIVATE THE “HI-NOR. DUBBING” BUTTON DURING DUBBING, THIS WILL VARY THE
SPEED OF RECORDING AND MAY DAMAGE THE CASSETTE TAPE.
B. RECORDING FROM RADIO TO CASSETTE

SELECT “ TUNER ” FUNCTION (6).
z
TUNE TO THE DESIRED STATION AND INSERT A BLANK CASSETTE TAPE IN DECK 1.
z
PRESS THE “ RECORD ” & “ PLAY “ KEYS TOGETHER TO START RECORDING.
z
PRESS THE “ PAUSE ” KEY AND THEN THE“STOP/EJECT” KEY WHEN FINISHED RECORDING.
NOTE:
DURING RECORDING OF SOME AM (= MW) RADIO STATIONS, SOME INTERFERENCE IN RECEPTION MAY
BE EXPERIENCED. THIS IS NORMAL AND NOT A MALFUNCTION OF THE SYSTEM.
C. RECORDING FROM TURNTABLE TO CASSETTE

SELECT “PHONO” FUNCTION (6).

INSERT A BLANK CASSETTE TAPE IN DECK 1.
z
PRESS THE “ PAUSE ” KEY FIRST AND THEN THE “RECORD” & “PLAY“ KEYS TOGETHER – THE CASSETTE.
RECORDING FUNCTION IS NOW IN STANDBY.
z
START PLAYING THE RECORD TO BE RECORDED AND THEN PRESS THE CASSETTE “ PAUSE KEY ” TO START
RECORDING.
z
TO STOP RECORDING, PRESS THE “ PAUSE ” KEY AND THEN THE “ STOP/EJECT ” KEY AT THE CASSETTE
TAPE DECK FIRST, THEN RETURN THE TONE ARM BACK TO THE ARM REST (30).
D. RECORDING FROM CD/USB/SD TO CASSETTE

SELECT “ CD/USB/SD ” FUNCTION (6).

INSERT A BLANK CASSETTE TAPE IN DECK 1.

PRESS THE “ PAUSE ” KEY FIRST AND THEN THE “ RECORD ” & “ PLAY ” KEYS TOGETHER AT CASSETTE DECK
1 CONTROLS. THE RECORDING FUNCTION IS NOW IN STANDBY.
z
START PLAYBACK OF EITHER CD/USB/SD MODE, AND THEN PRESS THE “ PAUSE KEY ” AT DECK 1 TO START
RECORDING.
z
TO STOP RECORDING, PRESS THE “ STOP ” BUTTON (16/R8) IN CD/USB/SD MODE FIRST, THEN PRESS THE
“ PAUSE” KEY AT DECK 1 AND THEN THE CASSETTE “STOP/EJECT
” KEY.
ENCODING OF CD/CASSETTE & TURNTABLE INTO MP3 FILE
THE SYSTEM IS ABLE TO ENCODE AND RECORD NORMAL AUDIO CD’S, TAPE CASSETTES AND VINYL RECORDS
INTO MP3 FORMAT AND RECORD THESE ONTO MEMORY MEDIA WITH A USB CONNECTION PLUG OR ONTO AN
SD/MMC CARD (NONE SUPPLIED). WHEN ENCODING, MAKE SURE ONE OF THESE IS CONNECTED TO THE
RELEVANT PORT/SLOT AND HAS ENOUGH FREE MEMORY SPACE.
A) CD ENCODING
I) RECORDING 1 TRACK
1.
PLAY THE CD TRACK YOU WANT TO ENCODE/RECORD, AS USUALLY.
2.
PRESS THE “ RECORD “ BUTTON (3/R3) DURING PLAYBACK OF THE DESIRED TRACK.
3. “ “ & “
“ WILL BE FLASHING ON THE LCD DISPLAY TO SHOW ENCODING IS IN PROGRESS.
4.
AFTER THE ENCODING PROCESS HAS FINISHED, PLAYBACK WILL STOP AUTOMATICALLY.
II) RECORDING A COMPLETE CD
1.
PLACE A CD WITH THE PRINTED SIDE FACING UP INSIDE THE CD TRAY & THEN CLOSE THE CD DOOR.
2.
AFTER THE DISC SEARCH HAS BEEN COMPLETED, PRESS THE “ RECORD “ BUTTON (3/R3)

PLACE A CD WITH THE PRINTED SIDE FACING UP INSIDE THE TRAY & THEN CLOSE THE CO DOOR

SELECT THE DESIRED TRACKS BY FOLLOWING THE “
CD DISC PROGRAMMING
“ PROCEDURE.
THEN
PRESS “ CD PLAY/PAUSE/STOP “ BUTTON (16/R6) TO START PLAYBACK.
3.
DURING CD PLAYBACK, PRESS AND HOLD THE “ CD PLAY/PAUSE/STOP “ BUTTON (16/R8) FOR 2 SECONDS
TO ENTER THE STOP MODE.
4.
PRESS THE “ RECORD “ BUTTON (3) AND THE UNIT WILL DISPLAY “
