Possible cauterization by descaling agent
Descaling agents contain caustic substances that can damage eyes and skin on
direct contact.
Wear protective gloves when using descaling agents. When using descaling
agents follow the instructions and safety precautions of the descaling agent.
If eyes or skin have come in contact with descaling agent wash it off immediately
with clear water. In case of contact with eyes, see a doctor. If swallowed, seek
medical advice immediately and show the packaging or label.
The appliance should be descaled regularly. This shortens the heating time and reduces the
energy consumption. The frequency depends on the hardness of the water used. For descaling
we recommend commercially available liquid descaler for household use.

Make sure the unit is disconnected from the mains.
Open the lid fastening (2) and open the lid.

Fill the tank with 5 litres of cold water.
3. Connect the device to the power grid.
