VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION & TIPS

Warranty will be void if installed without good ventilation.
If you connect to an existing dish and have no pictures you may have a 11300 LNB please refer to front of this
guide on how to change this.
After a factory default of the S2828+ you will have to scan for the channels and move them into order.

USB Recording basics.
By using a USB Hard drive you can record Television
We recommend a external powered HDD
Please note some Hard drives work better than others.
We recommend that the Hard drive be for use with the S2828+ only and is
formatted by the S2828+ from the File Player Menu,
In the File Player Menu , Press ‘
BLUE
’ to Format , and press ‘
RED
’ to set Default
(This will erase everything from the HDD)
Record from the EPG
Press ‘EPG’ button this will bring up the program guide , use arrow buttons to
move around the guide Up/ Down / Left / Right etc
Press the and buttons to move between days of the week.
Press ‘
BLUE
’ button to activate the timer
Once the timer options come up on the screen you can change start & stop
times. or record once / daily , weekly etc
Make sure for RECORDING you select Recorder in ‘Wake up Mode’
Press ‘
BLUE
when done to save the timer

To Play Back ,
Press ‘PVRI’ button on the remote control,
Then press ‘OK’ to select the record device.
Then press RIGHT until you highlight ‘PVR’
Then select the file to play back and press ‘OK’ to start playing
Tips:
When selecting an instant record , you may have to wait upto 15 seconds for the
recording to start, this is due to some Hard drives activating a sleep function.
To list your record timers enter the SETTING / TIMER menu
Here you can see all upcoming timer events. (note maximum 8 timers)
After you have set a timer you will see a clock symbol appear on the EPG
The S2828+ can play back MPEG files and JPEGS you can access this from the
File Menus (PVRI) button.
