About USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1
USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 1. This connectivity standard
offers speeds up to 5Gbps.
Note:
Data transfer rates are dependent upon the speed of the
memory card you are using and the speed capabilities of the USB
port on your host device.
Card support
The FCREADU3C supports the following types of memory cards:
• microSD, microSDHC™, microSDXC™
• CompactFlash Type I and Type II card
• Secure Digital (SDSC), Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC™)
card, Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC™) card
Use the FCREADU3C
1. Gently slide a memory card into the appropriate card slot on the
FCREADU3C until you feel resistance and the card is fully inserted.
2. Insert the
USB-C plug
on the USB card reader into the USB port
on your computer, tablet, or device.
3. To access content on the USB card reader, follow the instructions
specific to the OS that you’re running.
Note:
Avoid inserting multiple cards into the card reader at the same
time. You can only access data stored on one card at a time.
Troubleshooting
I can’t access the data stored on my cards
If you’re experiencing issues when you try to access the data stored
on your memory card, consider the following:
• Some operating systems may not support all file formats. Make
sure that the operating system you’re using supports the type of
memory card and the files that you’re trying to access.
• If you insert multiple memory cards into the FCREADU3C, you
won’t be able to access the data stored on the cards at the same
time. Make sure that you only insert one memory card in the card
reader.
Note:
The FCREADU3C prioritizes card access based on the most
recent memory card that was inserted.
