The remote control must be pointed directly at the helicopter. Take care not to cover over the light
beam between the IR control and helicopter with your body, hand, stickers or other things that
cause shadows.
•
Take care that no person, animal or object is disturbed by the flight of the helicopter.
•
Reckon with the fact that if the helicopter suddenly drops out of its flight path, it could hit people or
objects. You are responsible for checking that all endangered people, animals and objects are far
enough away from the flight area.
•
Warn them before you start.
•
Make sure that you yourself are at least 1 meter away from the helicopter when it is flying.
Start:
You can decide how quickly the rotor blades rotate by using the speed control (left). The higher
the speed, the quicker the helicopter lifts off and climbs. When you move the control back, the
helicopter sinks. Move the controls very slowly and gently, otherwise the helicopter whizzes off and is
out of control.
Always stand up while flying the helicopter. You can jump aside quickly if it flies in your direction. No
one else should be sitting or lying in the same room. If you break off playing, you must at least switch
off the helicopter to stop it from flying off accidentally.
Keep the helicopter away from smaller children as it could injure them.
Check that the rotor blades are not damaged – they can cause injuries. If necessary, replace them
with new blades.
Trimming:
If the helicopter spins on its own axis although the right-hand direction control is in neutral,
correct this by trimming with the control dial on the remote control.
If the control is in the middle and the helicopter turns left, correct this by turning the trimmer to the
right.
If the helicopter turns right, correct this by turning the trimmer to the left.
Control:
Now move the right control and watch how the helicopter reacts in its flight path. The same
happens for going forwards and backwards. Practise these basic settings until you can control the
flight of the helicopter safely.
When the battery is fully charged, the flight time lasts for 5 to 6 minutes.
When the flight is over:
If you want to stop playing, switch the helicopter off. The helicopter battery
takes about 10 minutes to cool down. After this you can recharge it again. Never charge a heated
battery because this shortens its life.
Switch off the remote control.
Check the rotor blades for damage. Replace damaged rotor blades with new ones to avoid injuries.
Ask a grown-up to help you.
Longer breaks:
Remove the batteries from the remote control. The helicopter battery stays where it is but don't forget
to charge the battery again about every 6 months. This way the battery will not get too empty.
Why doesn't it work properly? Possible mistakes and their cause:
Problem:
Cause and remedy:
Low transmission range
Remote control: weak batteries. Insert new batteries
Helicopter sinks unintentionally
Helicopter battery is empty
Helicopter does not react
Adjust the transmitter to the helicopter using A, B, and C
