7.3.1 Enabling Triggering
By default, after power-up the StarForm TM Swift-G camera is in
free-running mode and will stream images continuously (after ac-
quisition has been initiated).
The TriggerMode property controls whether triggering is enabled
or disabled.
•
Off . Triggering is disabled and the streaming of images is
continuous (free-running).
• On
. Triggering is enabled and the streaming of images is
controlled by the selected trigger in TriggerSource . The
acquisition cycle is either free-running or waiting for a trigger
as described in section 7.1 Camera Acquisition Cycle.
7.3.2 Trigger Sources
The StarForm
TM
Swift-G camera offers two possible sources of
triggering. These are available in the TriggerSource property.
•
Software . A software trigger where the camera is triggered
when the TriggerSoftware property is executed.
•
Line0 . A hardware trigger where a user defined transition on
the StarForm TM Swift-G GPIO trigger pin causes a camera
trigger. The TriggerActivation property controls the transi-
tions that will cause a camera trigger.
7.3.3 Trigger Wait Modes
There are two possible modes of operation for the StarForm
TM
Swift-G 3D camera when waiting for a trigger. These are available
in the
TriggerWaitMode property.
• Pause . The camera waits for a trigger with the acquisition
cycle paused. After a trigger is received a single acquisition
cycle runs and then camera resumes waiting for the next
trigger.
•
Run . The camera waits for a trigger while running continuous
acquisition cycles at the default rate but discarding the im-
ages produced. When triggered the camera captures the next
set of images produced at the end of the acquisition cycle
and streams them to the user before returning to discarding
images while waiting for the next trigger.
