PLAYING THE GAME
The youngest player goes first. Play continues in a clockwise direction.
Begin your turn by rolling the die.
If you
roll a number
, take one of your X-wing Starfighters and attach it to a
Laser stick. Then push it into one of the empty holes in the balloon frame the
number of clicks equal to the number rolled.
If you
roll a swap symbol,
either remove one of your opponent's
X-wing Starfighters from its Laser and replace it with one of your own,
OR
don't swap — just take one of your X-wing Starfighters, attach it to a
Laser stick, and push it in
one
click. After swapping, return your opponent's
X-wing Starfighter to them.
What if there are no more Laser sticks available?
• If you roll a number, push any of the X-wing Starfighters in play the number of clicks equal to the number rolled.
• If you roll a swap symbol, either swap as above or push any Laser stick in one click.
HOW MANY STICKS WILL YOU CLICK?
When pushing, you may choose to push one Laser stick the full number of clicks equal to the number rolled or spread
them out between any of the sticks in play.
WINNING THE GAME
The game ends when the Death Star balloon explodes.
The Leader with the most X-wing Starfighters in play is the winner!
In a tie, the player who pops the balloon is the winner.
DISASSEMBLY AND STORAGE
When the game ends, an adult should disassemble Boom Boom Balloon™.
1) Remove the balloon and for safety reasons make sure ALL the pieces of the
balloon are immediately thrown away due to choking hazard.
2) Remove the Laser sticks from the game by first detaching the X-wing Starfighters
and then pushing the sticks in one-by-one until they come loose from the balloon frame.
For safety reasons it is impossible to push the Lasers from the inside to the outside.
3) Push the lower connector upwards in order to click it out of the frame.
4) Disconnect each of the three legs from the connector by pushing the locking tabs
inward and lifting each leg up and out of the connector.
