You can synchronize up to two Constellation minibars and four individual Constellation lights
using the BKLD418-2 (sold separately).
•
ALL SYNCHRONIZED LIGHTS MUST BE PROGRAMMED FOR THE SAME
PATTERN TYPE.
•
You cannot program the BK9016LED using the controller. It must be
programmed independently.
•
Lights with the SAME phase flash together (simultaneous).
•
Lights with DIFFERENT phases flash opposite one another (alternate).
1. After mounting and wiring the BKLD418-2 controller,
connect your BK9016LED to it using the
BKSWH-357-18
extension cables (sold separately).
2. Remove the three screws from each end of the
BK9016LED that secures the dome to each end of
the extrusion and carefully lift the dome off.
3. Locate the wiring terminal block.
4. Power up the controller which will
activate the BK9016LED.
5. Using a small piece of wire, or other
conductive material, briefly short, then
release, the Pattern Select terminal with
the Power terminal. This will scroll
through the patterns listed on the next
page.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 for any additional
BK9016LED lights you have, ensuring
you select the same
Pattern Type
.
7.
Program any other heads for the same
Pattern Type
per the instructions included with
them.
Pattern Programming and Synchronization
If you are mounting the light on the roof of your vehicle, take extreme care to ensure that
the magnet is firmly seated on your roof, and that the pull of the magnet is sufficient to
secure the light in place. Since the composition of the metal in the roofs of different
vehicles may vary, as well as the contour, texture, and/or condition, Star cannot
guarantee the ability of the light to remain in place on a moving vehicle.
It is the sole
responsibility of the owner to ensure the warning light is secure.
Care should be taken when routing the cig plug cord so that it does not
interfere with the proper operation of the driver-side or passenger-side
airbag! Failure to heed this warning may result in serious or fatal injury.
