PERMANENT MOUNT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.
IMPORTANT:
Please read all of the following instructions before installing your new
warning light.
2.
CAUTION:
All of our DC powered warning lights are polarity sensitive. These lights are
polarity protected
only if the appropriate fuse
is used. All wires connected to the positive
terminal of the battery should be fused at the battery for their rated load.
Testing the light
before this fuse is properly installed will void the warranty on the light.
3. Using the gasket as a template, mark the
four bolt holes on the mounting surface
(and the center wire hole, if you will be
needing one). Take care to ensure that
the gasket does not move while you are
marking each of the holes.
4. Remove the gasket and check the underside of the marked locations to ensure that you do
not damage any wires or other components. Drill a 9/32" hole in the four marked spots for
the mounting bolts.
CAUTION: Take care not to drill through the headliner below.
5. Locate the two mounting
bolt access holes. Insert
the head of
one of the mounting bolts into
one of the access holes and slide
it along the length of the base. Place
the head of a second bolt in the same
access hole and slide the bolt to the other end
of the base. Repeat the above for the other mounting bolt access hole with the remaining
two bolts so that you have one bolt in each corner of the minibars base.
6. Turn your minibar upside down and route your wires through the center hole in the gasket.
WITHOUT REMOVING THE ADHESIVE BACKING from your mounting gasket, place the gasket
over the four bolts, aligning the center hole in the gasket with the wires and strain relief in
the center of the bar. Slide the bolts along the slots so that they protrude through the
mounting holes in the gasket.
7. Once the bolts have been adjusted so that
they are in the proper locations to fit through
the four mounting holes in the gasket,
carefully remove the gasket from the bar,
ensuring that the bolts do not move.
8.
Remove the adhesive backing on the
gasket and carefully stick the gasket
onto the base
, over the bolts, with the
wires routed through the center hole.
9. If you will be routing your wires through
the mounting surface (recommended), drill
a 3/8" hole in the center marked location.
10. Place the light on the surface of the vehicle,
routing the wires through the hole. Install
your light with the four bolts going through
your mounting holes. Place a washer and
nut on each of the bolts and tighten until
snug.
