FX Mode

In Traktor LE, there are 3 built-in eﬀects available to you, and a separate FX send on each channel
(FX 1 and 2). You enter FX mode by pressing the FX Preset button. It will light red to let you know the
channel is in FX mode. Let’s take a look at what the diﬀerent controls do in FX mode.

FX Select – This slider allows you to select which built-in Traktor
eﬀect is being controlled. (Figure 5.11)

FX Wet Dry – This controls the Wet/Dry mix of the FX.
When turned up (wet), more of the eﬀect is heard where as when
turned down (dry) only the original music is heard without the
eﬀect.

FX Amount – This controls the parameter for the eﬀect.
This will have a diﬀerent outcome for each eﬀect. For instance with
Delay this will control the length of the delay or echo.

Filter – The ﬁlter slider controls the ﬁlter frequency.
When turned all the way up the ﬁlter will remove the lower
frequencies (bass) and allow the high frequencies to pass (treble).
When turned down the high frequencies will be removed and the
low frequencies will be heard.

A – FX ON/OFF TEMP. Pressing this momentarily turns the FX on
and keeps them on as long as you HOLD the button.

B – FX ON/OFF TOGGLE. Toggles the FX On and Oﬀ.

C – KEY LOCK TOGGLE. Turns the key lock On or Oﬀ.

D – FILTER ON/OF TOGGLE. Turns the channel ﬁlter On and Oﬀ.
This works with slider 3, which controls the AMOUNT of ﬁlter.
