Charging/Recharging Using the 120V AC Charger with the Charging Dock

 1. Make sure the spotlight is turned off and place it in the Charging Dock with the DC Charging Terminals at the rear of unit

properly attached to the DC Charging Connector on the Charging Dock. Refer to the following:

 2. Insert the barrel connector of the 120V AC charger into the Charging Port on the left side of the Charging Dock. Insert the

plug into a (powered) standard North American 120 volt 60Hz outlet.

 3. When Spotlight and the 120V AC Charger are properly connected, the Charging Status LED Indicator on the front of the

Charging Dock will flash green to indicate the unit is charging.

 4. Charge until the Charge Status LED Indicator lights solid green.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Make sure the spotlight and the 120V AC Charger are properly connected to the Charging Dock.

• If the spotlight is placed in the Charging Dock while operating, it will automatically turn off and begin charging.

• Once charging begins, the spotlight will not operate until it is taken out of the Charging Dock.

• If the Charging Dock loses power while the spotlight is charging, the charging process will terminate and the spotlight

will automatically turn on and operate at the low (dimmer) mode for 1 hour. Once the power returns, the spotlight will

automatically turn off and the charging process will resume.

Charging/recharging using the 12 volt DC charger (optional accessory)

 1. Make sure the spotlight is turned off.

 2. Insert the DC Connector of the supplied 12V DC Charger into the DC Charging Terminals at the rear of the unit.

 3. Insert the 12V DC plug end into the accessory outlet of your vehicle or other 12 volt DC power source.

 4. When the 12V DC Charger is properly connected, the Battery/Charging Status LED Indicator inside the Touch Sensor will light

or flash in one of three colors (as described in the “Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED on the Spotlight” section) to

indicate the battery charging status.

 5. Charge until the Battery/Charge status LED indicator lights green.

Note:

When using a vehicle’s 12 volt DC accessory outlet as a charging source, be aware that some vehicles require you to turn on the ignition to power the

accessory outlet.

WARNING:TO AVOID THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:

•

NEVER CONNECT THE UNIT TO A POSITIVE GROUNDED VEHICLE.

• The  12V DC Charger must only be connected to batteries with a nominal output voltage of 12 volts. The unit will not operate

from a 6 volt battery and will sustain permanent damage if connected to a 24 volt battery.

• Never place the light face down on any surface when charging using the 12V DC Charger.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT:

Please follow all of the Safety Instructions at the front of this manual when using the spotlight.

To activate the

unit, you must first put it in Standby Mode by gently shaking the spotlight until the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator inside

the Touch Sensor at the rear of unit lights up.

Operating the spotlight cordless (recommended)

 1. Shake the spotlight until the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator at the rear of unit lights in one of three colors (as

described in the “Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator” section) to indicate the battery status. The light is in

Standby Mode and is ready to use.

IMPORTANT:

The Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator will automatically turn off after 10 seconds if it detects no further

input on the Touch Sensor.

2.  Once the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator lights, touch the Touch Sensor to select the desired light mode, as follows:

 – Touch the Touch Sensor once and release it to turn on the spotlight and use it in its low (dimmer) mode.

 – Touch the Touch Sensor a second time and release it to use the spotlight in its high (bright) mode. Touch it once again

and release to return to low (dimmer) mode.

 – Touch and hold the Touch Sensor for longer than 3 seconds and release in any mode to turn the spotlight off.

Battery is operating at full voltage.

Orange:

Battery is operating at partial voltage.

Red (solid):

Battery is operating at low voltage, and should be recharged.

Red (flashing):

Battery is operating at extremely low voltage. The built-in low voltage protection has activated and the unit will

automatically shut down within a few minutes. The unit must be recharged immediately.

Green & Red (flashing alternately):

The battery is overheated due to extensive use. The unit will automatically shut down.

Reading the Battery/Charge Status LED Indicator on the Charging Dock

The charging status LED indicator is located at the front of the Charging Dock. When the spotlight is connected and charging,

this LED indicator lights or flashes to indicate the following:

Green (flashing):

The spotlight battery is charging.

Green (solid):

The spotlight battery is fully charged.

CHARGING DOCK

The Charging Dock is used for charging the unit with the 120V AC Charger and is a convenient storage space for the spotlight.

It has been designed to either be placed on a flat, stable surface or mounted on a flat wall surface near a functioning AC

outlet.

Mounting the Charging Dock

The Charging Dock can be mounted on a flat wall surface using the included Screws and

Wall Anchors, as follows:

 1. Cut out the paper template in the back of the manual and tape it to a flat wall surface

near a functioning AC outlet.

Make sure the location meets the requirements for charging set out in the "Important

Safety Instructions" section at the front of this manual. Align the dots on the paper

template horizontally so that the Charging Dock is mounted level and does not slope.

 2. Using a 6mm diameter bit, drill one hole for each of the corner dots on the paper

template to a depth of approximately 30-35mm.

 3. Remove the paper template.

 4. Install one of the Wall Anchors in each of the holes. Check that the Wall Anchors are

fully and securely inserted into the wall.

 5. Make sure the Charging Dock is mounted in the correct direction. Align and screw one

of the Screws into each of the Anchors through the four screw holes in the Charging

Dock. Do not over-tighten.

CAUTION – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE:

• Only use the Charging Dock for mounting the spotlight. The Charging Dock is not intended to support additional weight. Do

not attach anything to or hang anything from the mounted spotlight.

• Make sure the Charging Dock is mounted on a flat, level and stable wall surface, assuring that all screws are tightened

securely and observing all cautions and recommendations regarding mounting found in this manual.

• Only use the Screws and Wall Anchors provided with this unit.

CHARGING/RECHARGING THE SPOTLIGHT

This unit is shipped in a partially charged state. Charge unit after purchase and BEFORE first use using the 120V AC Charger

with the Charging Dock for approximately 4 hours following or until the charge status LED indicator on the Charging Dock

Station lights green. Recharge the unit after each use.

IMPORTANT: When the unit is not in use, we recommend that the battery is charged at least every 3 to 6 months.

CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:

• Make sure the unit is thoroughly dry before charging or recharging. If the unit has been submerged, wipe it dry with a soft

cloth before charging.

• Failure to keep the battery charged will cause permanent damage and result in poor performance.

• Before charging, make sure the DC Charging Terminals, the Touch Sensor at the rear of unit, the DC Charging Connector, and

the Charging Dock Sensor in the Charging Dock are clean, intact and free of debris.
