6.5 USA, CANADIAN, AND INTERNATIONAL CHANNELS
1. To change from US to International or Canadian Marine Channels, hold
down the key and press the
key. The band will change from USA,
to International, and to Canadian with each press.

6.6 KEYPAD LOCKING
In order to prevent accidental channel change, the
HX100/HX150
’s keypad
may be locked.
Press and hold the
key to lock the keypad (except the
PTT
, , and
keys) so that they are not accidentally
changed. The “
” icon will appear on the channel number
of the display, to indicate that the functions are locked.
Press and hold the
key until the “
” icon disappears to unlock the ra-
dio.
6.7 NOAA WEATHER CHANNELS
1. To receive a NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)
weather broadcast, press and hold the
key for two seconds. The
transceiver changes to the weather channel mode and the radio will
be set to the last used NOAA weather channel. This
mode consists of a preset memory bank containing the
NOAA weather channels.
2. Press the
or
key to change to other weather channels.
3. To exit from the weather channel mode, press and hold the
key for
two seconds. The transceiver will revert to the channel you were using
prior to switching to the weather channel mode.
