Function and Device Design
4.1
Function
Application range
The safety (8146/5-V37, 8150/5-V37) / load disconnect switches (8146/5-V11) are used
as main connection switches for distribution units and motor circuits. They also ensure
that machines in hazardous areas are disconnected from electrical power during cleaning
and repair work.
The safety / load disconnect switches are approved for use in hazardous areas of
Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
