HART-Multiplexer
Series 9192
7.2
Parameterizations
7.2.1 User Adjustments for RS485 Address/Channel Number/Transmission Rate/
Communication Protocol
*) Select these user adjustments if the device is to be connected to PRM (ARCOM protocol)
by Yokogawa. If a remote I/O IS1 by R. STAHL is to be operated on the same bus, then set
the user adjustment to "9k6 A".
7.2.2 Starting the HART-Multiplexer
Connect the HART-multiplexer to the HART termination board or pac-Carrier and
connect the data cable (RS485) to a PC via a suitable interface converter
(e.g. ISpac 9185/12-45-10).
When started, the HART-multiplexer searches all channels (standard setting: 32 channels)
for connected HART field devices (CMD 0).
7.2.3 Communication with Field Devices
After the search function has finished, the HART-multiplexer begins communication with the
HART field devices that have been found. The "HART-Tx" and "HART-Rx" LEDs light up
alternately. If no field devices were found, both LEDs remain off.
For supplementary device installation:
Find and add the device using the PC software
(e.g. using "Learn" or "Add instrument" in Cornerstone).
7.2.4 Communication with the FDT Software
An additional DTM is required for the HART-multiplexer to communicate with the
FDT software.
Download the DTM from the website "r-stahl.com".
Next, load the DTM onto the PC in the DTM library of the FDT software.

The user adjustments are only made after a software reset or device restart.
No RS485 bus is required for communication with field devices.
