2) Mit dem Schieberegler die Geschwindigkeit des

laufenden Musikstückes an die Geschwindigkeit
des zweiten Musikstückes angleichen.

3) Durch zügiges Drehen des Rades (15) im Uhr-

zeigersinn (Geschwindigkeit erhöht sich) oder
entgegen des Uhrzeigersinns (Geschwindigkeit
verringert sich) die Taktschläge beider Musik-
stücke genau übereinander legen.

Fernstart über ein Mischpult

Die Funktion Start/Pause des CD-20DJ lässt sich
über ein Mischpult mit Fernstart-Funktion fernbedie-
nen. Die Fernstart-Funktion des Mischpults muss
mit Impulssteuerung arbeiten, wie z. B. bei den
Modellen MPX-450 und MPX-500 von „img Stage
Line”

Damit es nicht zu einer Fehlfunktion kommen

kann, zuerst den CD-Spieler und das Mischpult aus-
schalten. Die entsprechende Fernstartbuchse am
Mischpult über ein Verbindungskabel an die Buchse
CONTROL (16) anschließen.

Pflege des Gerätes

Das Gerät vor Staub, Vibrationen, direktem Sonnen-
licht, Feuchtigkeit und Hitze schützen (zulässiger
Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C). Für die Reini-
gung nur ein weiches, trockenes Tuch verwenden,
auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemikalien.

Hinweis zu Tonaussetzern und Lesefehlern
Zigarettenrauch dringt leicht durch alle Öffnungen
des Gerätes und setzt sich auch auf der Optik des
Laser-Abtastsystems ab. Dieser Belag kann zu
Lesefehlern und Tonaussetzern führen. Da sich
Zigarettenrauch nicht immer vermeiden lässt (z. B.
in der Discothek), muss das Gerät dann in einer
Fachwerkstatt gereinigt werden. Diese Reinigung ist
kostenpflichtig, auch während der Garantiezeit!

4) With the button PITCH it is possible to switch at

any time from the speed adjusted with the sliding
control to the standard speed and vice versa.

5.9 Matching the beat between 2 music pieces

(Pitch Bend function)

With the rotary wheel (15) it is possible to match
(synchronize) the beat of the currently playing title to
the beat of a music piece playing on another unit.
Thus, while crossfading from one music piece to the
other, the dance rhythm will not be interrupted.

1) Activate the sliding control (14) with the button

PITCH (13). The LED next to the button lights up.

2) With the sliding control match the speed of the

currently playing music piece to the speed of the
second music piece.

3) By quick turning of the wheel (15) clockwise

(speed will be increased) or counterclockwise
(speed will be decreased), the beats of both
music pieces will be synchronized.

Remote Start via a Mixer

The function Start/Pause of the CD-20DJ can be
remote-controlled via a mixer with remote start func-
tion. The remote start function of the mixer has to
operate with pulse control, e. g. as in case of the
mixers MPX-450 and MPX-500 from “img Stage
Line”.

To prevent malfunction, first switch off the CD

player and the mixer. Connect the corresponding
remote start jack at the mixer via a cable to the jack
CONTROL (16).

Maintenance of the Unit

Protect the unit from dust, vibrations, direct sunlight,
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C). For cleaning only use a dry, soft
cloth, by no means water or chemicals.

Notes concerning sound interruptions and read-
ing errors
Cigarette smoke easily penetrates through all open-
ings of the unit and settles on the optics of the laser
sampling system. This deposit may cause reading
errors and sound interruptions. As cigarette smoke
cannot always be prevented (e. g. in discothèques),
the unit must then be cleaned by skilled personnel.
Please note that there is a charge on cleaning in this
case, even during the warranty period!
