ATE mode

Normal and ATE mode: differences
The
supports two main modes of operation:
•
Normal (or running)
: is the GUI normal operation mode (described in the previous chapter)
•
ATE
: is mainly used to program the STNRG011 NVM section and is based on the ATE protocol

Note:
It is also possible to enable the ATE protocol in running mode for bidirectional communication. This requires a
specific patch to enable the UART uplink communication.
Note:
If the ATE protocol is enabled during Normal mode, the GUI is able to handle simultaneously Metering information and ATE
protocol. However, the bandwidth on the UART link might be impacted. So, it is recommended to disable the metering
protocol by checking the Disable Asynchronous STNRG011 Power messages box.
