Application / system description:
The LUX-top
®
QUICKFIX II system is a transportable anchor point for fastening
personal fall protection equipment, which can be attached using a clamp fastening device
to steel structures with adequate load-bearing capacity, taking account of the minimum
requirements specified in the installation instructions.
It is also possible to leave the anchor device permanently on the building.
LUX-top
®
QUICKFIX II can be loaded in all directions after correct installation.
The maximum force that is introduced to the structure by the anchor device in the case of
a fall is 12 kN.
The
LUX-top
®
QUICKFIX II anchor device is approved for simultaneous use by 3
persons with full body harnesses and energy absorbers (including 1 person for first aid /
rescue purposes).
Even an anchor point already deformed by a fall can still normally be used to rescue a
person who has fallen from a height.
The attachment to the
LUX-top
®
QUICKFIX II system is made by means of a connecting
element (carabiner pursuant to EN 362) on the PFPE in accordance with its instructions for
use.
Before every use of the system, the user must check whether the anchor point is
correctly fixed to the steel construction.
Only then can the PFPE be fastened to the anchor point.

QUICKFIX II can be used in the following fall protection systems according to
EN 363:2008:
 Restraint systems
 Fall arrest systems
 Rescue systems
The respective user instructions of the other PFPE and abseiling and rescue
equipment used must also be observed!

QUICKFIX II is not suitable as an anchor point for suspension systems using
rope access techniques (abseiling work etc.)!
