Gasoline Engine

If the vehicle is operated in very dusty or sandy areas, replace more often than at
the usual recommended intervals. If it is dirty, shake the element to remove dust.
Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing and cover with a damp cloth.

Clean the air cleaner element by blowing compressed air through it in the oppo-
site direction to normal air flow.

DI Diesel Engine

Blow the compressed air through the
element in the opposite direction to
normal air flow to clean the element as
shown above.

Engine can be damaged.

Do not operate the vehicle without air cleaner element.

WARNING

Change

1. Unscrew the cover bolts and remove the cover.

2. Replace the air cleaner element with a new one. Make

sure that the element is correctly installed in the air
cleaner housing.

3. Close the cover and tighten the bolts.
