Protegé® 3x8 Keyset User Guide - single line telephone

Holding a Call and Retrieving
a Held Call

1. Phone is active on a call.

2.

Press the Flash key.

3. Dial an extension number or outside telephone

number.

4.

Talk to the new call without the held call hear-
ing the conversation.

5.

Press the Flash key

6.

The new call is put on hold and you are con-
nected to the previously held party.

3. Call Brokering

Switching back and forth between two active calls by using the Flash key is
known as Call Brokering. The Flash key acts as a toggle between the two calls.
At any time, one of the two calls will be on hold, and will not be able to hear
your conversation with the other party.
