Certification Information
(SAR)
this model phone meets EU requirements
for exposure to radio waves.
Your mobile phone is a radio transmitter
and receiver, designed and manufactured to
meet limits of exposure to radio frequency
(RF) based on international guidelines and
recommendations of The Council of the
European Union. These limits are part of
comprehensive guidelines that establish
permitted levels of RF energy for the general
population. Independent scientific organizations
developed these guidelines through periodic
and thorough evaluation of scientific studies.
The guidelines provide a substantial safety
margin to ensure the safety of all persons,
regardless of age and health.
The exposure standard for mobile devices
is measured by a unit known as the Specific
Absorption Rate, or SAR. According to
international guidelines, the SAR limit is
2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg)*. SAR testing is
conducted using standard operating positions
with the device transmitting at its highest
certified power level in all tested frequency
bands. Although the SAR is determined at the
highest certified power level, the actual SAR of
the device while operating may be below the
maximum value. This is because the device is
designed to operate at multiple power levels to
use only enough power required to reach the
