z Do not look directly into the light.
z Wear the fluorescence-enhancing protective glasses
provided.
z Use in low-light conditions to achieve the best
inspection results.

Twist the end cap counterclockwise to open.
z Remove the battery carousel.
z Remove the old batteries.
z
Insert new batteries into the carousel and reinstall the
carousel into its original position.
z
Secure the end cap.
1. Add the appropriate fluorescent dye and run the
system to circulate. (See instructions included with
dyes.)
2. For best results, use in low-light conditions.
3. Scan the system with the flashlight while wearing
fluorescence-enhancing glasses. You’ll easily see the
precise location of every leak by its bright fluorescent
glow.
4. For most applications, our violet light lamp does not
require fluorescent-enhancing glasses.
Twist the end cap counterclockwise to open. Remove the battery carousel. Insert 3 AAA batteries (included) into the
carousel and reinstall the carousel (positive end toward the lamp head). Replace the end cap. Press the ON button once
to turn the flashlight on.
For best results, use super-bright

universal/POE fluorescent dyes.
After the leaks are repaired, clean the remaining dye from the leak sites with Spectroline® GLO-AWAY™ PLUS dye
cleaner or a shop solvent. Remaining dye could be mistaken for a leak. Check all areas again with the flashlight to make
sure no dye remains. Run the system for another 5 to 10 minutes and reinspect with the flashlight.
No glow means that all leaks have been properly repaired.
