The result falls below the 
stored reference element 
limit values (error 
message). 

The adapter in the "Arc" 
mode is reversed. 

Turn the adapter so that one 
opening faces the optical fiber 
window. 

The adapter is not locked 
in properly up to the stop. 

Check adapter seat and correct it 
if necessary. 

The electrode gap is not 
correct. 

Adjust the electrode gap using 
the spacer.
