Considerations
T50e power supplies are hot-swappable provided there is one functioning
supply installed in the library
If library is to be powered off for procedure, it is recommended that all tapes
are removed from drives by customer before procedure to avoid potential
stuck tapes after power-up
Dual power supplies cannot share a single AC input power cable
Power supply status can be determined/verified via status LED on rear of
supply

AC Blue = OK Amber = Fault condition Off = Malfunction
o
DC Green = OK Amber = Fault condition Off = Malfunction
Procedure Overview

If single power supply installed OR two supplies installed and both have
malfunctioned:
1.
Power off library
2.
Disconnect power cord to power supply being replaced
3.
Loosen screws and remove faulty power supply
4.
Slide new power supply into library and tighten screws
5.
Reconnect power cord
6.
Power library on
7.
Verify power supply is functioning properly by checking for green DC status LED and
blue AC status LED on rear of supply
8.
Create an Auto-support Log File (ASL) and forward to Spectra Technical Support
Obtain permission from customer prior to performing this step
ASL’s do not contain sensitive customer information such as passwords,
encryption keys etc.

9.
Package the faulty power supply(s) and ship it to Spectra Logic
