5.
While
pressing
the
clip
in
toward
the
boot
drive
module,
lift
the
module
off
the
motherboard.
6.
If
you
are
replacing
boot
drive
2,
repeat
and
to
remove
boot
drive
2.
7.
Locate
the
serial
number
on
the
back
of
the
failed
module.
Compare
the
module
serial
number
to
the
number
you
recorded
in
and
confirm
the
numbers
match.
8.
Disconnect
the
power
cable
from
the
failed
module.
9.
Set
the
failed
module
aside
for
return
to
Spectra
Logic
(see
10.
Connect
the
power
cable
to
the
replacement
module.
The
connector
is
keyed
to
only
fit
one
way,
do
not
force
it.
11.
Orient
the
module
with
the
SATA
connector
facing
down
and
the
clip
facing
toward
the
inside
of
the
chassis.
12.
Press
the
module
down
into
the
socket
to
secure
it
to
the
motherboard.
The
connector
is
keyed
to
only
fit
one
way,
do
not
force
it.
13.
If
you
replaced
boot
drive
2,
repeat
and
to
install
boot
drive
1.
Caution
Make sure you press in on the clip when removing the boot drive. The clip can break
off easily and damage the motherboard socket.
