The Spectra 10000 utilizes the BullFrog architecture for robotic tape libraries developed by
Spectra Logic. BullFrog architecture can be configured with 20 or 40 cartridges and up to four
tape drives. BullFrog architecture supports both SCSI-2 (Single-Ended and HVD) and Fibre
Channel interfaces. BullFrog architecture allows users to split a single Spectra 10000 into two
logical libraries, thus allowing the sharing of storage resources between different servers,
operating systems and software applications. BullFrog architecture offers an LCD touchscreen
user interface that provides access to status information, configuration parameters, and
diagnostics.
About this manual
This manual describes how to remove and install the Spectra 10000 front panel.
Also included is the procedure for replacing the front panel grill and end cap if converting a
table top to a rack mount library, or vice-versa.

You will need either a Rack Mount Front Panel Replacement Kit, P.N 90841621, or a Table Top
Front Panel Replacement Kit, P.N. 90841622.

A #2 Phillips screwdriver
A flat head screwdriver
A flat piece of plastic, such as a credit card
