Note 2
Note 1:
The distance used is rounded down to 60.
Note 2:
The actual smallest pipe size for the required capacity i
s ¾” from the table. However, the gas pipe size from brooders 3 and 4
to the regulator must be 1” diameter and therefore a smaller diameter pipe cannot be used. If ¾” pipe was used from the Tee to
brooder 1, the pressure drop in the rest of the system wo
uld exceed the design pressure drop of ½”W.C.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
1. All electrical wiring shall conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA No.
70), or the code legally authorized in the locality where the installation is made. DO NOT use phone cable
for electric supply wiring.
2. The electrical system must be electrically grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code
(ANSI/NFPA No. 70-latest edition) or the Canadian Electrical Code (C22.1 Part 1-latest edition) as
appropriate.
3. Each brooder requires a 24 volt-power supply via a 24 volt transformer. The 24 volt transformer MUST be
large enough to operate the number of brooders connected to it (see table below). This is calculated as
follows:
Note: The 24 volt common terminal must be grounded.
