ACPI (Advanced Configuration Power
Interface) enables the operating system to
control the amount of power given to each
device attached to the computer. When enabled,
the OS will take control of power management.
ACPI Suspend Type
Allows the OS to activated Suspend-to-RAM
(S3, saving all unsaved data to main memory)
and Suspend-to-Disk (S1, saving all unsaved
data to hard drive) when entering hibernation
