WARNING:
Tool is not insulated. Never use tools
on live circuits. Wear eye protection when using tools.
Keep fingers away from mechanism while using tool.
WARNING:
Do not operate tool until die set
is securely fastened.
Instructions
1.
Install the connector onto a properly prepared cable
according to the connector manufactuer's instructions.
2.
Place the cable/connector assembly into the
proper die cavity.
3.
Squeeze the handles until the ratchet cycle is
complete.
4.
Release pressure on the handles to open the tool
and remove the crimped connector.
5.
If the tool jams in the crimp cycle, push the
ratchet release lever to open up the tool.
Replacing Die Set (D1)
Southwire offers replacement die sets, as well as
die sets for different cable/connector types.
Observe the position of the upper and lower dies
in the tool. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the
two screws that hold the dies in place.
Remove old dies. Install new dies making
sure they are positioned properly.
