INSTALLING THE EYE BOLT WRAP
•
Place the bracket strap (the piece without the shackle) on top of the cross beam at a safe distance from the end
post. (Put the side with the shock pad against the cross beam).
•
Put one flat washer on each of the hex head bolts, then put them through the holes in the hanger strap (the piece
with the shackle), going through from the shackle side.
•
Put the bolts up through the holes in the bracket strap. Place a flat washer, a lock washer, and a non
-
locking nut
on each of the bolts. Tighten finger tight evenly.
•
Tighten the bolts by holding the head of the bolt with one 3/4” wrench while using the other wrench to tighten the
nut. Alternate from one nut to the other, tightening them both evenly.
•
When both bolts are tightened securely, put a self
-
locking nut on each bolt and tighten it down firmly against the
non
-
locking nut.
HEIGHT ADJUSTER OR SAFETY ROTATIONAL DEVICE NEEDED

With all Southpaw suspended equipment, a Safety Rotational Device must be used to prevent damage to your
equipment.
MATTING PRECAUTIONS:
Always use appropriate matting.

immediately and call Southpaw for repair or replacement.
•
Use a Southpaw Safety Rotational Device (item #2000) to prevent abnormal wear and damage to equipment.
When replacing Safety Snaps or Rotational Devices due to normal wear, use only Southpaw replacement parts.
