This unit has Ripping funct ion m aking it handy and quick t o copy audio f iles ( e.g.
m usic) from CDs. RI PPI NG is convert ing from CDDA f or m at t o t he com pressed
MP3 form at ont o a USB drive. I n t he course of copying, I D3 t ags are generat ed
aut om at ically in Russian and English, depending on t he source. I f t he disc does
not cont ain such infor m at ion in CD- t ext form at , I D3 t ags will be writ t en as
“ Unknow n ar t ist ” and “ Unknow n album ” .
RI PPI NG function has a sim ple and int uit ive m enu. To display the Ripping m enu,
press MENU/ RI PPI NG/ MO/ ST butt on on t he RC while a CD playback . A USB-drive
should be connected to t he unit. For navigat ion in t he m enu use cursor but t ons and
pr ess ENTER but t on t o confirm your option. I n “ Opt ions” colum n y ou m ay set speed
and bit rat e for ripping. I n “ Track ” colum n you m ay select t rack s for ripping (press
ENTER but t on t o select a highlight ed t rack) . Besides, you can select all t racks
( “ Select all” ) or cancel y our choice ( “Select none”) . To start converting process,
select “ St art” and press ENTER but t on.
Aft er ripping is st art ed, a m enu w ill appear show ing t he progress of t he
procedure. File ripping is perfor m ed in real t im e, so y ou can list en t o files
curr ent ly under r ipping.

A folder is creat ed on t he USB- driv e for t he ripped files. I f such a folder
already ex ist s on t he USB, ripping operat ion is unav ailable.
