RDS ( Radio Dat a Syst em ) service availabilit y varies wit h areas. Please underst and if RDS service is not
available in you area, t he following service is not available, eit her .
AF ( Alt er n a t ive fr e qu e n cies) fun ct ion
Press AF but t on on t he RC or AF/ REG but t on on t he panel t o enable AF funct ion. When t he radio signal
st rength is poor, enabling t he AF funct ion will allow the unit t o aut om at ically search another st at ion with t he
sam e PI ( Pr ogram I dent ificat ion) as t he current stat ion but wit h st ronger signal st rength.
N ot e : AF indicat or on t he display will flash unt il RDS inform at ion is received. I f RDS service is not available
in your area, t urn off t he AF m ode.
TA ( Tr a ffic a lar m ) fu n ct ion
Pr ess TA/ EON but t on on t he panel t o act ivate t he t raffic alarm funct ion.
When TA funct ion is act ivat ed, it will search t he st at ion wit h TA inform at ion aut om at ically. I f t here is no TA
inform at ion, it will search t he stat ion wit h TP inform at ion autom at ically, if t here is no TP inform at ion eit her,
it will ret urn t o t he previous st at ion after searching.
When receiving the st at ion wit h TP inform at ion but wit hout TA inform at ion, TP icon is on and TA icon keeps
blinking; when receiving t he stat ion wit h TP and TA inform at ion, bot h TP and TA icons are on.
When playing in other m ode and TA inform at ion is received, it will change t o the radio m ode aut om at ically.
Aft er playing over, it will ret urn t o t he previous m ode. Press TA/ EON butt on on the panel once t o ignore t he
received TA inform at ion, do it t wice t o turn off t he funct ion.
PTY ( Pr ogr am t ype) fu n ct ion
Press PTY/ PROG but t on on the RC t o open PTY program t ype list, and repeat pressing t his but ton t o select a
PTY t ype. Aft er select ing t he program t ype you want, press num ber but t ons 1 - 6 on t he RC to st art search.
Press it again t o stop the PTY search. I f PTY code is different or not available, “ PTY NONE” blinks on the
display.
