
7. USING THE AM/FM RADIO
Press “INPUT” button to select AM/FM.
AM Frequency 522 to 1620KHz, FM Frequency 87.5 to 108MHz.
The auto tune function provided will automatically scan for stations and stop on a station with a
strong signal level.
The audio function allow listening in stereo and mono, there are 2 options ‘auto’ and ‘mono’. If
mono is selected any radio station broadcasting in stereo will only be heard in mono sound. This
can be useful because when listening to a weak station in stereo selecting mono can often
improve the quality of reception.
Auto tune function
Note: Ensure the telescopic aerial is fully extended.
To start the auto tune function to scan for the next radio station:
1). If disc play mode is currently selected Press the INPUT button,
the LCD will display the welcome screen:
2). Press the BAND button until the LCD display shows
‘Switching to FM’. The radio will then tune to the station that was previously selected.
3). Press the AUTO button, the LCD will show frequencies changing until a station is
found, the station is then played.
Manual tune
1). Whilst listening to a station press the buttons TUNING ‘-’ or ‘+ ’ to tune up or down.
The LCD display will show the frequency changing.
Selecting audio function
To select audio function ‘auto’ (stereo and mono reception) or ‘mono’(mono only reception):
1). Whilst listening to a station pressing the ENTER/ST/MO button will select ‘auto’ or ‘mono’ mode.
The LCD display shows ‘Audio mode: Mono’ or ‘Audio mode: auto’.
Store and recall a preset station
This unit has 30 presets for FM and 20 presets for AM. Please use the following
steps to store favorite stations into the preset memories:
a. Press the BAND button to select the required AM/FM
b. Press “ AUTO” button or “TUNING”“-”/“+”button to turning stations.

Select each of the tracks you wish to play using the numeric buttons. If you
require to programmed a track above 10, use the 10+ button. Each press of this
button will increase the selection by ten. For example:
To programmed track 12, press the 10+ button once and then press the 2 button.
To programmed track 24, press the 10+ button twice and then press the 4 button.
Displaying data information
To display data information:
1. Whilst listening to a station repeatedly press the DISPLAY button to select the data information
required, the display will show the data information in the bottom line of the LCD display.
