Upon delivery the Jukebox player mechanism will be locked into position by 2 x 10mm bolts.
The tone arm and platter motor are also held in place by a retaining plate. Here is how to
remove all these items and set your Jukebox up, ready to play. Ensure you store the removed
components safely as these will be required should you need to move your Jukebox in the future.
Removing the retaining bolts and foam.
•
Unlock the front of the Jukebox and raise the front glass to its highest position. The gas
struts will hold the weight of the front glass.
•
Look downwards into the mechanism and you will see the 2 x 10mm retaining bolts as
denoted in FIG 2 and a section of retaining foam underneath the gripper arm.
•
Remove the retaining foam from beneath the gripper arm. (shown in FIG 2.) Gently pull
this foam to the right (towards the record stack) to remove it.
•
Using a 10mm spanner or socket screwdriver, carefully remove the retaining bolts and
the wooden blocks avoiding any contact with the LP Changer Arm.
•
The Lower section of the mechanism is now ready.
•
Looking at the play area of the Jukebox (shown in FIG 3) - Carefully remove the transit
plate retaining screws with a suitable screwdriver. The transit plate is now able to be
lifted from the playing platter and tone arm. It is important to remove the plate by lifting
directly UP so as not to damage the tone arm. The plate should be kept safe for use if
the jukebox is to be moved in the future.
•
Remove the retaining foam from under the tone arm.
•
Switch the Jukebox on using the power switch on the rear of the Jukebox denoted in
FIG 1. The Jukebox will illuminate. Transit will show on the front display denoting that
the Jukebox is in Transit mode.
•
Press the white RESET button on the back of the Jukebox. (FIG 1) to exit transit mode.
The mechanism will return to its home position with the LP changer arm at the top.
•
Remove the clear plastic stylus cover (shown in FIG 3) by sliding it towards you.
•
The Jukebox is now ready to play.
Placing the Jukebox in Transit mode
REMOVE ALL RECORDS BEFORE TRANSIT
Should you need to move your Jukebox it is recommended you put it into “Transit” mode.
This ensures that nothing can be damaged whilst the Jukebox is transported.
To place the Jukebox in Transit mode :
•
When the Jukebox is “idle - i.e not playing a record” press and hold the white RESET
button on the rear of the Jukebox for 5 seconds. The mechanism will first move to
its HOME position (top) then the LP changer arm will move to the lowest position in
the cabinet. “Transit” will show in the display. The wooden transit blocks and retaining
bolts, the transit plate and all the retaining foam and tape should be replaced as specified
