REMOVING THE  LOUDSPEAKER 

1. 

Pull the speaker assembly straight down by the trim bezel 
until the springs become hooked and locked under retaining 
tabs on the mounting hardware (see 

Figure 17

).

2.  Push the loudspeaker assembly upwards until the rim is 

about ¾” below the ceiling surface, then slightly turn the 
speaker assembly clockwise to disengage it from the springs 
(see 

Figure 18

).

3.  Pull the loudspeaker assembly out of the opening and 

remove the input connector from the speaker.

4.  Once disconnected, remove the safety chain or cable (if 

employed) to free the speaker assembly.

IMPORTANT: In order to reinstall the loudspeaker, the 
springs need to be reset in the original “install tabs”, 
otherwise the spring mechanism will not work properly.
