7.4 TRACK TENSION ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

NOTE

•

Do the adjustment on a flat surface.

•

The tracks are factory adjusted. If they need adjustment, use tensioners on both sides of the frame to adjust
the track tension.

•

Soucy Track recommends the following method of measuring deflection. Other methods can be used.

•

For the front track system, drive the tractor forward for +/- 5 feet (1.5 m.) to release tension due to sprocket drive and
stop without going backward. Measure deflection at the front of the track by applying pressure on track

•

For the rear track system, do the opposite; drive the tractor backward for +/- 5 feet (1.5 m) and stop. Measure
deflection at the rear of the track by applying pressure on track.

Place the tip of the tape on the inner surface of the track. Position the tape on the side of the sprocket as shown.

2.

Place your thumb over a number on the tape, without applying pressure.
