Starting the Wireless WAN Communications

To start the wireless WAN communications

Make sure that the SIM card holder is properly inserted into the SIM card slot, otherwise the wireless WAN function may not work.

Turn on the

WIRELESS

switch.

Click

Start

All Programs

, and

VAIO Smart Network

or click the

VAIO Smart Network

icon

on the taskbar.

In the

VAIO Smart Network window

, make sure that the switch next to

Wireless WAN (or supported carrier)

Click the down arrow button next to the

Wireless WAN (or supported carrier)

switch and the

Connect

button to

launch the preinstalled connection manager software supplied from a supported carrier and make a mobile
broadband connection.
