DRIVE 1 A/B - DRIVE 6 A/B connectors
(miniature D-sub 50-pin, SCSI-2 standard)
Correspond to SCSI buses 1 - 6 of the VideoStore
system.
DRIVE 1 A - 6 A: Connect to SCSI DRIVE 1 - 6
connectors of the VSR-1000 Media Control Unit
via the supplied SCSI cables. Alternatively,
connect to the DRIVE 1 B - 6 B connectors of
another VSH-1000 Media Unit positioned
upstream in the daisy chain.
DRIVE 1 B - 6 B: Connect to the DRIVE 1 A - 6 A
connectors of another VSH-1000 Media Unit
positioned downstream in the daisy chain via the
supplied SCSI cables.

SCSI ID setting switches
Used to set the SCSI ID numbers for the hard disk
drives 1 - 6, respectively.
The SCSI ID number setting operation should be
performed by your Sony dealer.

MU STATUS IN/OUT (media unit status input/
output) connectors (D-sub 25-pin, female)
Used to form the line for transmission of media unit
status information.
STATUS IN: When making a daisy chain
connection of VSH-1000 units including this one,
connect to the MU STATUS OUT connector of
another VSH-1000 unit located downstream of
this unit via the supplied MU STATUS signal
cable.
STATUS OUT: Connect to the MU STATUS IN
connector of the VSR-1000 Media Control Unit
via the supplied MU STATUS signal cable.
Alternatively, connect to the MU STATUS IN
connector of another VSH-1000 unit located
upstream of this unit in the daisy chain.

UNIT NO. setting switch
Used to set the unit number allotted to this unit.
The unit number setting operation should be performed
by your Sony dealer.
