Inserting a Memory Stick Media
VGN-FE800 Series models are equipped with a Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo media slot that can only accommodate a small-
size Memory Stick media: Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media, while VGN-AR300 Series models are
equipped with a Memory Stick PRO/Duo media slot that can accommodate either the standard- or small-size media.
To use the standard-size Memory Stick media on VGN-FE800 Series models, you need to use the ExpressCard slot with the
supplied memory card adapter. See Using the ExpressCard Module
(page 71) and Using Other Memory Cards on VGN-FE800
Series Models (page 82) for more information.
To use the small-size Memory Stick media on VGN-FE800 Series models or either the standard- or small-size media on VGN-AR300
Series models, proceed with the following. Note that both the Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo media slot on VGN-FE800 Series models
and the Memory Stick PRO/Duo media slot on VGN-AR300 Series models are simply referred to as the Memory Stick media slot in
the following for convenience.
